Detailed Guide On Optimize Amazon Product Listings In 2021

how to find backend keywords amazon

The first step in achieving success on the platform is finding the right product. You need to ensure that people are able to find the product they want and that they will be enticed to purchase it in order to take your business to new heights. This is not an easy task.

Amazon sells millions of products on its marketplaces. This number is increasing. It is, therefore, more important than ever that Amazon product listings stand out and are sold.

Although most sellers are aware of the importance of optimizing product listings, execution can be a challenge. Before creating a listing, sellers must understand how Amazon’s A9 search algorithm works.

Amazon’s A9 algorithm works in the same way as any other search engine. It analyzes all data available on the platform. Amazon displays the most relevant product options to a customer’s query whenever he searches for an item.

The A9 algorithm matches products with a customer’s search terms. The first results that are most relevant to the search term appear first.

How to make Amazon product listings that are effective

An effective Amazon listing will impress the A9 algorithm as well as the customer. Keywords are key in describing your product to Amazon. Keywords alone won’t generate sales. It will make it difficult to read the listing and reduce conversions.

SellerApp’s listing analysis tool will help you analyze the quality of your listings. It will also give suggestions for improving them. The tool can also be used to analyze competitor listings and possibly borrow some ideas.

Let’s talk about how to create an Amazon product listing that is effective, regardless of whether or not you use a listing analyzer.

This is a delicate balance. You need to use keywords carefully to avoid creating a mess. This is precisely why I don’t refer to ‘optimized listings. I prefer to use the term ‘effective’ listing.

A product listing includes the following:

Here are some ways to optimize them for the perfect listing

Product Title

It is still a topic of debate how long a product title should go. Amazon allows titles up to 250 characters in most categories. However, this doesn’t mean that you have to use all 250 characters. It comes down to personal preference.

Product images

A photograph is worth a thousand words. A visual representation of the product is essential because customers can’t physically inspect it online. High-quality photos of the product and all its components are a must for every Amazon listing.

Each listing can have up to 10 images, but I recommend at least 6. You can hire professionals to capture stunning photos if photography is not your forte.

Backend Keywords

Amazon allows you to add ‘backend keywords’. Your Amazon backend keywords only have 250 bytes, so ensure you have done your keyword research. These are some tips to keep in mind when populating your backend keyword list:

Bullet Points

Sellers have the option to add 5 bullet points, each of between 10 and 500 characters. Make sure to use all 5. Amazon Bullet points allow you to organize product information and add relevant keywords.

The majority of consumers make buying decisions in a matter of seconds. It is therefore important to highlight the advantages of your product.

Description of the Product

Customers often find the Amazon product description after scrolling down the product list. However, this doesn’t necessarily mean that the description of the product is irrelevant.

A customer scrolling through your listing usually means that they are interested in purchasing the product. They are simply looking for more information and reviews before finalizing the purchase.

Just like Amazon bullet points, include all relevant keywords in your copy and make it easy to understand and informative.

A+ Content

Amazon seller and vendor registered sellers have the option of creating A+ content for their listings. This content can be used to replace the product description, but it is also a great way of increasing conversions.
